What time do the courses start?Normally start at 0900 hrs however I am flexible to suit your needs.

What should I wear to the course?You should wear casual and comfortable clothes as you will be on the floor practicing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the recovery position, also acting as a casualty for other course participants. I recommend you bring some lunch and a cold drink, however tea and coffee (and biscuits!) are provided.

How much does a first aid course cost?First Aid at Work - £180 per person (3 day course) First Aid at Work Requalification - £120 per person (2 day course) Emergency First Aid at Work - £75 per person (1 day course) Emergency Paediatric First Aid - £75 per person (1 day course) Annual Refresher - £40 per person (3 hour course) Student First Aid (Age 11+) - £35 per person (3 hour course)

How long is are the courses valid?The qualification is valid for 3 years from the date of acheivement.

Do you deliver courses on weekends?Yes, please contact me and I am happy to deliver a course on a weekend that is convenient to you.

Do your First Aid at Work courses meet HSE requirements?Yes, all the first aid courses are regulated and meet the first aid at work requirements. Please refer to the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) first aid needs assessment for further guidance. https://www.hse.gov.uk/firstaid/needs-assessment.htm

Who are the trainers?I am currently the only trainer for First 2 Act Ltd. I am a practicing registered nurse with 16 year experience. My background is A&E which I still work as an agency nurse, also working part time post of school nurse at a local boarding school where I deliver first aid qualifications to both the staff and students. I am passionate to teach first aid as it does save lives. The courses are for the work environment but also for everyday life should you need to use these life skills. I aim to give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to deal with an emergency situation wherever you are.

Are the courses regulated?Yes, the qualification is UK regulated, awarded by First Aid Awards (FAA) who are regulated by Ofqual and the qualification sits oh the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

Where can I do my first aid course?Courses can be held at your business premises with a course exclusively for your staff. Alternatively book onto a public course held at a local venue in Oswestry.

I need to renew my First Aid at Work certificate however it has lasped?You can attend the First Aid at Work Requalification course with no questions asked if the expiry date is within 1 month. If the expiry date is more than 1 month but no longer than 3 months then you can attend the 2 day course providing: You have a signed letter from your employer to the provider of the training stating the reasons why in their opinion you are suitably experienced to attend the 2 day course and do not require the full 3 day First Aid at Work course. OR A decision has been made by the provider of the training after discussions with the employer or yourself, and deciding that their experience is sufficient to attend the 2 day course. If the certificate has lapsed more than 3 months then you must attend the full 3 day course. You must bring a copy of your First Aid at Work course certificate with you on the day.
